State Of New Hampshire Offering $10,000 Recruitment Bonuses For Full-Time Corrections Officers
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections has launched a new incentive plan to strengthen the state's public safety workforce.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections unveiled a new recruitment incentive for new full-time corrections officers to find qualified applicants for vacancies in the department.
Officials said last week candidates who successfully complete the 127th New Hampshire Corrections Academy can earn a $10,000 bonus. The department hopes the effort will strengthen the state’s public safety workforce.
“We’re proud to invest in the men and women who choose to serve their state in one of the most important roles in public safety,” Commissioner William Hart said. “Corrections officers are truly at the heart of what we do, and this hiring bonus is one way we’re showing our commitment to supporting them. We want to bring in dedicated professionals, give them the tools to succeed, and build a strong team that keeps New Hampshire safe.”

The vacancies are putting stress on the system at a time when correctional facilities need to be a safe and secure environment for the community, staff, and inmates.
“Corrections is a challenging, rewarding career path that offers purpose, stability, and a real opportunity to make a positive impact,” Assistant Commissioner Jessica Kuron said, while highlighting the career opportunities available. “With this incentive, we are not only competing for great talent but also recognizing the commitment and professionalism of those joining our team.”
