While some naysayers will always insist that Concord is a "City in a Coma", I have never found that to be the case. Sometimes you had to look a bit to find things to do, but they've always been there.
The Holiday Season is upon us and recently there has been any number of Holiday Fairs, the annual Parade, the Tree Lighting and Midnight Merriment is coming up later this week.
In addition, the Capitol Center has a full schedule of programming to make merry even the miserly Scrooge.
There are also two very exciting music events this weekend that are not to be missed by lovers of music and dance. Just two more examples of the amazing opportunities present in our community.
Cindy Flanagan is certainly Concord's own "Queen of Dance". Her Concord Dance Academy, now in it's 33rd year, has helped thousands of locals to find their inner dancer. Talking with Cindy, it's impossible to not want to run out and put on your dancing shoes.
This weekend she and her talented students celebrate the season with their Holiday Spectacular at Concord's City Auditorium. It is a must-see event that thousands have enjoyed throughout the years. Performances are on Saturday the 7th at 1 and 6 PM and on Sunday the 8th at 1 PM.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evening, December 6 and 7 at 8 PM and Sunday afternoon the 8th at 3 PM.Last Season they sold out every available seat for their concerts and Kris Johnson the Chorale Director promises an amazing concert from his 78 singers.
In January the Chorale will be holding an Open Sing, so if you've ever contemplated being part of a great singing group, this is your opportunity.
