All things Oscar at Red River!

For moviegoers and movie lovers, this upcoming weekend is comparable to the World Series or Super Bowl. The Academy Awards are being handed out on Sunday evening and if you're not fortunate enough to have tickets to attend in Los Angeles (I went once, back in the 70's), you can experience the second best thing.

Concord's Red River Theatre is holding their annual Red Carpet Viewing Party on Sunday evening beginning at 8 PM. It has become one of the best social/fun events in our community and is a chance for everyone to have a little bit of stardust sprinkled on them.

There's a red carpet to walk, lots of specials like Beer & Wine tasting, Popcorn Bar, giveaways, photo booth and custom made chocolates to name but a few. Even better, there's commercial break entertainment to spare you the seemingly endless ads you'd have to endure watching the show at home. Finally, there is the wonderful group experience of watching the Academy Awards with a large group of fellow fans - cheering the winners and commenting on the sometimes over the top outfits.
