GSSO Concert Postponed

The Granite State Symphony Orchestra was to have presented the second concert of their 19th Season on Saturday evening, Nov. 3, at Concord's City Auditorium.

The concert entitled, "Baroque is Back," has been postponed until January.

President Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton will be speaking in Concord on Sunday morning. In preparation for this visit, the Secret Service has requested that certain streets in the city be closed effective Saturday morning.

Concord NH Patch posted a story about this earlier today.

These closures would create a good deal of hardship for our musicians in getting to the auditorium for their Saturday afternoon rehearsal and for our patrons in getting to and finding parking for Saturday night's performance.

Out of consideration for our loyal audience, a decision has been made to reschedule "Baroque is Back" for 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Concord City Auditorium.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this change may cause but feel it is a better alternative to what many unsuspecting patrons would deal with in attempting to attend tomorrow evening.

Thank you for your understanding.
