
The most popular singing couple on national television’s “The Lawrence Welk Show” will make their final New Hampshire appearance at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. for one show only.
Tickets are available by visiting the Capitol Center’s box-office or at CCANH.com or by calling 603-225-1111. During the show, Guy & Ralna will pay a special tribute, in song, to Veterans – Past and Present. Proceeds will benefit the Granite State Symphony Orchestra.
Ralna English is one of the most dynamic performers to ever hit the stages of America. She performs throughout the U.S. and Canada with both her former husband and singing partner Guy Hovis as part of the duo “Guy & Ralna,” and also as a solo performer with symphonies. Ralna appears in showrooms from Atlantic City to Las Vegas, and on stages from Branson, Missouri to New York’s State Fair. Her great diversity of music includes jazz, blues, gospel, country, pop and songs from the 1930s and ‘40s. Ralna’s been a favorite on television’s “The Lawrence Welk Show” since 1969, and was nominated for the prestigious Dove Award. In recent years, Ralna has appeared internationally on CNN’s “Larry King Live,” “The Today Show,”“ABC World News,” and in the New York Times.

Guy Hovis has one of the more recognizable faces in America. He has been on national television for more than 40 years beginning with the Art Linkletter’s House Party Show on CBS in 1967. He has recorded 15 albums, has been nominated as artist and producer of the year by the Gospel Music Association, and is a member of the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame. Throughout his career Guy has appeared on many celebrity game shows, in numerous commercials and on national telethons for various charities. Hovis is best known, however, for the 40+ plus years he has been a regular member of “The Lawrence Welk Show.”
More than three million people watch Guy & Ralna each week on “The Lawrence Welk Show” airing on 277 PBS stations nationwide. “The Lawrence Welk Show” is national television’s longest-running weekly syndicated series.

During their whirlwind visit to the Granite State, Guy & Ralna will visit The Courville at Manchester, one of the sponsors for the Concord performance. They will also do a book/CD signing at Concord’s popular Gibson’s Bookstore at 27 S. Main St. at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8. Everyone is welcome to attend the signing.
