The stage of Concord’s City Auditorium will be filled with more than 50 musicians when Concord’s Granite State Symphony Orchestra presents their latest concert as part of their 19th season.
Anyone suffering from “Cabin Fever” or longing for the warmer weather that spring promises can forget the winter we’ve endured and lose themselves in what promises to be an unforgettable evening of music. Romantic in March is the theme and the date is Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 8 p.m.
Maestro Robert C. Babb will conduct pieces emphasizing “The Romantic Period” including works by Weber (Der Freischutz Overture), Tchaikovsky (Symphony No. 6, “Pathetique”) and Sibelius, which will mark the return of the gifted young violinist Laurel Gagnon who will perform Concerto for Violin in D minor, Op. 47.
