CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public's help finding a potentially armed and dangerous burglary and firearm theft suspect who has not been heard from by authorities since 2020.

Hunter Edward Eaton is 21, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. He has blue eyes and sandy blonde-brown hair. Eaton has tattoos on his left and right hands and fingers, both wrists, and both arms.

Eaton is wanted by Rockingham and Strafford county sheriffs on bail violations after being arrested on burglary charges as well as a failure to appear in court on a theft of a firearm charge, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal. Warrants for his arrest were issued in February and May.

"Based on the latter offense, Eaton should be considered armed and dangerous," White said. "Eaton has a criminal history that includes assault, burglary, and disobeying police officers."

White said Eaton has known ties to the Rochester and Sanford, Maine, areas, where he has family, friends, and associates.

According to superior court records, Eaton was accused of burglary and theft of a firearm in Nottingham in September 2020. He was also accused of burglary and possession of burglary tools in Rochester in November 2020. The charges are all felonies. He was arraigned and held after a bail hearing on the Nottingham charges on Dec. 10, 2020. Eaton's bail was posted later but a mail notice to him about the case was returned to the Rockingham County Superior Court on Dec. 28, 2020. Eaton was indicted in April on the Nottingham burglary and theft charges but two notices by mail from the court were returned. Eaton was accused of failure to appear at an arraignment on May 21, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

If you know where Eaton is or see someone who looks like him, do not try to apprehend him yourself. Call local police or the task force at 603-225-1632.
