Armed Homeless Woman In Basement Surprises Concord Homeowner
Concord police, with the Bow search dog, combed yards, trails in the West End on Monday after a woman burglarized a home on Lamprey Lane.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police were in the West End on Monday after a homeowner reported an armed, homeless woman inside of her residence.
Police were sent Lamprey Lane around 5:15 p.m. after a homeowner called 911 claiming a woman had broken into her home. The homeowner described the woman, who damaged a basement door to enter the home, as armed with a knife wearing a black sweatshirt, short-shorts, and flip-flops, according to dispatch. The caller said the woman was "all dirty" and had messy, dirty blond hair.
After the woman left, she threatened to return — stating she believed her children were in the home and she was looking for them, according to dispatch.

Police arrived, investigated the incident, and requested Bow's tracking dog to assist. After Bow police arrived, the K-9 and officers searched around homes, yards, trails, and wooded areas on Pond Place Lane and Little Pond Road. Other officers, in cruisers, searched Fisk Road, Long Pond Road, and Carter Hill Road, and later, checked Blossom Hill Cemetery and Granite Place.
After about an hour, police called off the search, unable to locate the woman.
