Attempted Robbery Reported At Concord Convenience Store

Concord police were called to the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street for a robbery. NH State Police are assisting with the case.

CONCORD, NH — An attempted robbery was reported at a Concord convenience store on Saturday.

Dispatch sent police to the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street at around 10:20 p.m. for a report of a masked man with a knife attempting to rob the store. According to dispatch, the man walked around the cashier's counter, presented a knife, and demanded money. A customer then encountered the suspect and they fled the store.

The suspect, a man, was white, had dark hair, glasses, a torn gray sweatshirt or shirt, and jeans. He headed north on North Main Street toward Domino's Pizza. Police said he got away with a 24-ounce can of Truly hard seltzer.

The knife was described as a small folding knife, according to dispatch.

The first arriving officer tapped off the entrance to the store while others searched the area. One man was stopped and questioned. He was wearing dark jeans and a white tank top and was later cleared, and allowed to leave the area.

Later, witnesses said the man was wearing goggles like ones used at a construction site and not glasses.

Officers also eyed video surveillance from the store. Another witness was interviewed at the Holiday Inn.
