Boat Launch Open At Gorham Pond After Erosion Damage Repairs

DUNBARTON, NH ? The Gorham Pond Boat Launch in Dunbarton is now open after New Hampshire Fish and Game completed its repair of stormwater-related erosion damage, officials announced Monday.

The ramp has been resurfaced with open-cell concrete pavers to protect against future damage, according to officials.

The ramp was closed on Sept. 22, after which no one was permitted to park, launch, or retrieve boats or fish from adjacent shorelines.

Gorham Pond is approximately 97 square acres and is located in Merrimack County.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department?s Statewide Public Boat Access Program is funded through boat registration fees, combined as match dollars with federal Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration funds to facilitate boat access opportunities in the state, officials explained.
