Bode Miller's Infant Daughter Drowns In Pool: Report
Bode Miller, the decorated Olympic skier from New Hampshire, said his 19-month-old daughter Emeline died in California.

COTO DE CAZA, CALIFORNIA — The infant daughter of Olympic skier Bode Miller died Sunday after reportedly falling into a pool. Nineteen-month-old Emeline was playing near the pool Saturday in Coto de Caza, California, when she somehow fell in, officials told ABC. She was hospitalized and died the next day.
Miller, who grew up in New Hampshire, said his family is "beyond devastated."
"Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this," Miller wrote in an Instagram message. "Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life."

He thanked fans for love and support "during this impossible time."
Miller, 40, was born in New Hampshire and grew up in Franconia. He recently retired after a career as one of the most decorated athletes in Olympic history. He won six medals competed in his last Olympics in 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team released this statement Monday: "The thoughts and prayers of everyone at U.S. Ski & Snowboard and across the whole snowsports world are with Bode, his wife Morgan and their family and friends at this time."
Miller has three other children and is married to professional beach volleyball player Morgan Beck.
We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.
