CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to a Fort Eddy Road barbeque smokehouse for a chimney fire on Tuesday.

Just before 8 p.m., witnesses reported smoke in the building and flames being seen from the chimney at the Smokeshow Barbeque on Fort Eddy Road. When command arrived, they found smoke inside of the store and from their ventilators.

Command reported a possible extension of the fire to the roof of the store, according to scanner chatter.

At 8 p.m., an overdose was reported at Market Basket on Fort Eddy Road, and a firefighter was sent to the grocery store from the Smokeshow scene before another engine and EMTs were also sent to the store.

About 10 minutes later, command reported smoke conditions inside the store were improving and firefighters were not finding extension into the roof. However, they did find a small fire behind a smoker in the back of the store and firefighters doused the fire.
