Christmas Toys: Here Are The Most Popular In NH
Few moments are more exciting for kids than Christmas morning, but the favorite choice differs from state to state.
CONCORD, NH — With Christmas morning fast approaching, time is running out to find the perfect gift for the little ones in your life.
Reviews.org, an online platform that makes recommendations on products and services for households, found each state’s most popular Christmas toy. The most sought-after toy in New Hampshire for the 2019 holiday season is the American Girl doll.
American Girl is a line of high-end dolls introduced in 1986, originally dressed to reflect historical periods, but later expanded to include more contemporary figures. Their huge popularity comes despite the expense — more than $100 for the doll alone, and potentially hundreds more for associated outfits.

“If you thought we’d left these bright plastic guns behind in the '90s (along with Starter Jackets, Goosebumps and VHS tapes), you were wrong,” the authors of the study wrote. “Nerf was cool when your parents were kids and when you were a kid, and it’s still cool today.”
Trailing behind the timeless Nerf Gun, the Nintendo Switch was the most popular toy in five states. American Girl Dolls and Play-Doh finished tied for third as the most popular toy in four states each.
The Toy Story 4 Buzz Lightyear action figure, Scruff-a-Luvs, Owleez and Barbie Playsets also all earned the honor as the most popular toy in multiple states.
Reviews.org put together the study by analyzing data through Google Trends, specifically looking for the most-searched toys on the platform this holiday season.
