Concord Firefighters Extinguish Dryer Fire In The South End
Video: Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to an apartment building in the city?s South End neighborhood for a fire on Friday.

CONCORD, NH ? A dryer caused a fire in the South End on Friday morning.
Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to 26 1/2 South Street just after 6:45 a.m. for a box alarm indicating a fire at the apartment building. Dispatch informed firefighters smoke was visible from the wood-frame building.
When firefighters arrived, they confirmed there was smoke coming from the basement and a working fire was called for the city. Mutual aid was requested from Hooksett and Loudon.

Just after 7 a.m., firefighters reported the smoke was caused by a dryer in the building?s basement, and they had extinguished the fire. Mutual aid was canceled and Concord teams began returning to their stationhouses.
