The reporting officer spoke to the men ? one was in his early 60s and the other was in his late 50s, with both accusing Torres of coming at the younger man with a knife. The reporting officer gave the information to the other officer and then spoke with both men separately. The man in his 60s, the officer said, had a red mark on the right side of his face, on his cheek, and he was bleeding. The man stated he and Torres had been dating for approximately 15 years. The other man, a relative, also lived with him in the apartment.
The man said an argument ensued over who would watch the two small dogs, as she wanted to go shopping, according to an affidavit. The man accused her of picking up the knife, the affidavit said. He said they continued arguing, and then she scratched his face, the report stated. His relative came into the dining room area and she approached him, ?swaying the knife back and forth,? the affidavit said.

After falling to the ground, the man said he feared for his life and believed she was going to strike him with the knife, the affidavit said.
The officer reported the victim appeared to have a small cut mark on his neck that was bleeding.
