Concord Issues Another City-Wide Overnight Parking Ban
More than 18 inches of snow falling on Concord has prompted city officials to ban parking from Thursday night to Friday morning.
CONCORD, NH — The city of Concord has issued another city-wide parking ban for overnight tonight after more than 18 inches of snow fell on New Hampshire's capital city.
The on-street parking ban will run from 11:59 p.m. on Thursday to 7 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17.
"The community’s cooperation to move cars off the street is appreciated to help plows more efficiently clear snow," the city said in an alert. "Cars not removed from the street can impede snow removal and block plows on narrow streets."

City residents who do not remove their vehicles before midnight will be subject to ticketing and towing.
The city garages, located on School, Storrs, and North State streets, will be free from 7 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday in permit-lease spaces and 9 a.m. on metered spaces.

The municipal lot in Penacook on Canal Street will also be available overnight. Penacook residents should ignore signs saying overnight parking is not allowed in that lot. That rule is suspended during winter storm events. Residents should also only park in public spaces on the south side of the lot along Canal Street.
"Visit concordnh.gov/winteroperations for more information and to sign up for parking ban alerts," the city said. "Thank you for your cooperation to park off-street to allow our crews to more efficiently perform snow removal operations."
