Concord Man Accused Of Drunken Driving, Fleeing The Scene Of A Crash
Julian Locke of West Parish Road was arrested on charges after being accused of crashing into a neighbor?s vehicle early Friday morning.

CONCORD, NH ? A man from Concord was arrested on drunken driving and other charges after a crash on West Parish Road early Friday morning.
Around 12:15 a.m., police were sent to the area of Lori Lane for a report of a motor vehicle crash. A woman on the road told police she was sleeping when she heard a loud bang. She looked outside her home and saw another vehicle had struck her parked vehicle and left the scene. There was debris all over the road, the caller said. According to scanner chatter, the caller suspected the vehicle was heading east toward Carter Hill Road.
?She couldn?t tell what kind of car it is,? the dispatcher said, ?but, I guess, there is so much debris from it, she said you guys might be able to figure out by looking at the pieces in the road.?

One officer drove toward Carter Hill Road while another headed to the scene via Bog Road.
An officer found the vehicle, an Audi with a New Hampshire registration, a couple of minutes later, about a mile from the caller, near Carter Hill Road.

The first officer requested fire and rescue teams since the vehicle ?was smoking? and there was ?some issue with the driver.? Dispatch asked if anyone was in the vehicle and the officer said just the driver was inside and they were trying to get him out.
An officer ran a check on the driver, Julian L. Locke, 46, of West Parish Road in Concord. According to online property records, Locke lives half a mile from the caller. The dispatcher said his license might be from ?another state? because his license was ?very expired.? The officer said he would try and find an identification.
Locke refused transport to the hospital and fire and rescue teams returned to service.
Around 12:45 a.m., one of the officers said they were checking to see if Locke was intoxicated while he could be heard talking in the background. About six minutes later, he was arrested.
A tow truck was requested to the scene.
Locke was charged with driving under the influence and conduct after; property damage charges as well as yellow-solid line and license required; penalty violations.
