Concord Officials Announce Road, Utility Work
City officials announced several capital improvement projects this week, including the reopening of the Washington Street Bridge.
CONCORD, NH - City officials announced several capital improvement projects this week, including the reopening of the Washington Street Bridge.
After closing for repairs on Apr. 23, the Washington Street Bridge reopened last Thursday after repairs to the bridge membrane were completed.
City officials also announced a Water Main Replacement Project on High Street, between Allen and Stark Streets. According to the Concord Newsletter, work started early in the week as the contractor will be testing and chlorinating the new water main.

The remainder of the week they will be installing new water and sewer services. Local traffic only.
Crews working on the Water Main Replacement Project on Warren, Kensington and N. Fruit Streets will be installing water and sewer services on Warren Street this week.

Warren Street will be closed from Pleasant to Liberty Streets during this time. Use Pleasant Street for the detour.
On Friday, they are scheduled to pre-dig and plate a trench across Pleasant Street at its intersection of Kensington Road. This will reduce traffic to alternating one way traffic.
Officials also announced continuing Liberty Utlitlies work at the following locations this week.
- Bow St. from Joffre St. to Wood Ave.
- Dunklee St. from Pillsbury St. to McKinley St.
- Gilmore St. from Carter St. to Pillsbury St.
- Kensington St. from Thayer Pond Rd. to Pleasant St.
- Kimball St. from Allison St. to Pillsbury St.
- McKinley St. from S. Main St. to Broadway
- Pleasant St. from Rum Hill to Tuttle St.
- Ridge Rd. between Franklin St. and Ridgewood Ln.
There may be delays, one lane traffic, and encumbrances of parking spaces. Work will generally take place from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday-Friday) and 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Saturday).
