County Nursing Home Auctioning Items To Raise Money For Gifts
The Merrimack County Nursing Home has furniture, paintings, other items for sale via a government surplus auction site through June 25.

BOSCAWEN, NH — The Merrimack County Nursing Home is raising money via an online auction to buy residents gifts during the holiday season.
About 70 items are being sold via municibid.com, a government surplus auction site, through June 25. Bidding on the items starts at $1. The offerings feature used furniture — like dressers, bookshelves, chairs, tables, cabinets, and bedroom sets, as well as paintings, picture frames, and decorations.
The money, according to the organizer, will be used to buy residents gifts in order to make them feel special and loved during the holiday season. The holiday season can be a difficult time for some residents who do not get to spend a lot of time with loved ones.
