Doctor Killed On NH Hike Remembered For Love Of Family, Friends
Dr. Judith Pinsker, of Tufts Medical Center, died after falling ice hit her as she hiked the White Mountains with family Christmas weekend.

WHITE MOUNTAINS, NH — A Massachusetts doctor killed during a Christmas weekend hike in the White Mountains was remembered for her kindness to patients and love of family. Dr. Judith Pinsker, 57, of Wellesley, died Sunday while hiking with a group of family and friends. A chunk of ice broke free from an overhang and struck her in the head on the Frankenstein Cliff Trail in Crawford Notch State Park, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.
The group carried Pinsker down and were assisted by ice climbers who witnessed the scene.
"Unfortunately, her injury was severe and despite the best efforts of her family, friends and volunteers she did not survive," Fish and Game Sgt. Alex Lopashanski said in a statement.

Pinsker worked as a primary care physician for more than 20 years and traveled around the world with the nonprofit Timmy Global Health organization to provide health care for the less fortunate. She left behind a husband and two sons.
"She will be remembered for her honesty, compassion, dry wit, and most importantly, her love of friends and family," her family wrote in her obituary.

“She was a force of nature," her husband, Benjamin, told The Boston Globe. "She maintained so many different activities in addition to her work."
A wake will be held for Pinsker Friday at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home in Wellesley from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, her family asked for loved ones to consider donating to Timmy Global Health.
