Dominican Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Trafficking
A Dominican Republic man pleaded guilty to participating in a drug trafficking conspiracy after dealing fentanyl to an undercover DEA agent
CONCORD, NH - A Dominican Republic man pleaded guilty to participating in a drug trafficking conspiracy after dealing fentanyl to an undercover DEA agent.
Yossi Rafael Rincon Ramirez delivered fentanyl to the customers on behalf of a drug dealer based in Lawrence, Massachusetts, according to United States Attorney Scott W. Murray's office.
According to police, Ramirez sold fentanyl to an undercover Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) agent in Nashua, New Hampshire on four separate occasions. He was arrested on May 2, 2017, law as he traveled to Nashua for another drug delivery.

Ramirez pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl, and four counts of distribution of a controlled substance.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 1, 2018. The case included work from the Massachusetts State Police, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and the police departments of Hudson, NH, Nashua, NH, and Methuen, MA.

“Fentanyl distribution continues to pose a serious danger to the safety of our community and the health of our citizens.” said U.S. Attorney Murray. “We will continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners to identify and prosecute those who attempt to profit from the sale of this deadly substance.”
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Shane B. Kelbley.
