Dozens Of New Hampshire Wrestlers Compete In VT Autumn Tournament

CASTLETON, VT ? Hundreds of wrestlers from around the United States, including New Hampshire and as far away as Florida and Texas, participated in the 2024 Castleton University Fall Classic Wrestling Tournament Sunday.

The tournament featured wrestlers from kindergarten to 12th grade in three rounds of bouts, with many of the university?s wrestling team acting as referees.

There were 51 weight brackets in the high school boys? competitions alone.

Overall Team Scores

In overall team scores, Salem High School and Spaulding High School in Rochester tied for 8th. Smitty?s Barn in Kingston, with wrestlers representing several communities around the state, including Concord and Nashua, placed 12th. Keene High School was 19th, while Concord High School?s three-wrestler team placed 20th. The Blue Devil Wrestling Club of Salem came in 22nd.

HS-A: John Blocksidge of Salem came in first.

HS-B: Wesley Churchill of Spaulding came in first.

HS-D-Maddox Boudreau of Salem placed third.

HS-G: Zackary Parent of Keene placed third.

HS-J: Jacob Jones of Keene placed fourth.

HS-N: Evan Lynch of Salem came in first.

HS-P: Owen Gregg of Concord placed second; Trevor O?Brien placed third for Salem.

HS-Q: Spencer Lira of Salem came in fourth.

HS-R: Spencer Buscema of Salem came in second while Eli Burker of Keened placed fourth.

HS-V: Dominic Murphy of Blue Devils came in first; Hunter Knight of Smitty?s placed third.

HS-Y: Dominic Schinella for Concord came in second.

HS-Z: Caleb O?Rourke of Blue Devils came in first while Ian Spencer of Keene placed third.

HS-AA: Leo Runez of Keene came in first.

HS-AD: Michael Grasso of Spaulding came in first.

HS-AE: Jaxon Carter of Concord came in first wrestling for Smitty?s; David Marcellus of Spaulding placed third.

HS-AF: Gavin Winnie of Spaulding placed third.

HS-AG: Benjamin Byrne of Nashua came in first wrestling for Smitty?s while Reilly O?Brien of Salem placed second.

HS-AH: Carter Jones of Spaulding came in third.

HS-AK: James Marcellus of Spaulding came in fourth.

HS-AL: Jack Foster of Smitty?s placed third.

HS-AM: Noah Dunster of Spaulding placed third.

HS-AM: Logan Slater of Spaulding placed fourth.

HS-AO: Luke Calder of Smitty?s placed second.

HS-AV: Isaiah Puckett of Concord came in first.

HS-AW: Jack McElroy of Salem placed third.

HS-AY: Ethan Bachand of Spaulding placed third.

MS-B: Jacob Byrne of Smitty?s placed fourth.

MS-I: Daniel Sheehan of Smitty?s placed second.
