CONCORD, NH — Jeremy Michael Fortin, 39, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. on May 4 on a warrant and two bench warrants as well as carrying or selling weapons and resisting arrest or detention charges. An officer was sent to the Storage Station on Loudon Road for a request to trespass two people accused of living in a storage unit. When the officer arrived, he was introduced to pair who were moving items out of one of the units. Both denied having identification when asked, according to an affidavit. The woman identified herself and was confirmed later while the man was accused of giving a false name with a birthdate from the early 1980s that dispatch could not identify. The officer said the man would not look at him and was pacing around, an affidavit stated. At one point, he attempted to leave, the affidavit reported, but was told he could not until he was given a no-trespass order for the business. The man, however, made a run for it while the officer warned him to stop, the report said. After turning the corner of a hallway, the man deployed his electroshock weapon and warned him again to stop. "The male looked back at me and kept running," the officer stated. The man was then shot in the back and was handcuffed. Officers identified the man as Fortin via a debit card. He had active warrants out of Merrimack County Superior Court on a felony acts prohibited charge as well as two revocation-suspension warrants out of Concord District Court. Fortin was also accused of being in possession of brass knuckles. He was arrested and held. According to court records, Fortin has active drug charges out of Concord from December 2019, an active felony theft case out of Boscawen from January 2020, and active drug possession, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, resisting, and receiving stolen property charges out of Boscawen from February 2020.
