Fundraiser For Corbin Raymond Book Halfway To Goal
"He's That Kid," is the working title of a book about the near fatal accident and miraculous recovery of Corbin Raymond, a Boscawen teen.

BOSCAWEN, NH — The family of Corbin Raymond knows a miracle when they see one. They’ve lived through it. And now, they’d like to tell the story. But they also need a little help doing it.
“He’s That Kid,” is a book Sadie Raymond, Corbin’s mom, is attempting to self-publish about the serious accident her son was involved in last year and his road to recovery.
According to police, Raymond, who was 16 at the time, was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed on River Road in Boscawen at just after 11:30 a.m. on July 4, 2018. Three other teens were also in the vehicle and sustained injuries.

Corbin was transported to Concord Hospital with severe head trauma and bleeding from his abdomen, according to the family. Hospital personnel called his condition catastrophic and didn’t believe he would recover due to the brain damage. Later though, there were positive signs of brain activity and the decision was made to med-flighted him to Boston Children’s Hospital.
Doctors performed two major surgeries there on Corbin. After months of physical therapy, he was able to return home. Earlier this year, he returned to Merrimack Valley High School and hopes to graduate with his class next month.

The Concord firefighters involved in saving Corbin received commendations for their work earlier this year.
A Kickstarter.com goal of $10,000 has been created to finance the book so the family can share what they describe as a miraculous story of faith and persistence. The goal is just shy of 50 percent at post time with about a week of fundraising left to go.
