Have you been wracking your brain trying to think of the perfect gift to give that special someone for Valentine's Day? After all, it is only a few days away.
Ponder no more!!! Give that someone the gift of laughter and they'll remember you for years to come as they recall a side-splitting night out at the theater.
The Community Players of Concord continue their highly entertaining 86th Season with a comedy that has never been done locally - "Kong's Night Out". It opens on Friday, February 14th at 7:30 PM and continues Saturday the 15th at 7:30 and Sunday afternoon, the 16th at 2 PM. It plays at Concord's City Auditorium.
It's a madcap romp set in the 1930's on the very night that Ann Darrow was snatched by King Kong from a hotel room in the Big Apple. The comedy written by NH native, Jack Neary, tells what went on in the hotel suite next door to Ann's room.
Michael Coppola is the director and it's his first time directing for the Players. It's not his first time on our local stage however. His career credentials are lengthy and impressive and they include "All My Children", "Night and Day" with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz as well as scores of stage musicals, comedies and dramas. Last fall he was one of the stars of "Spamalot" at the Audi.
Michael stopped by "Downtown Dialogues" on WKXL the other day and we chatted about "Kong" and other entertaining matters. A link to that show is below:
