After all of Loudon's firefighters and EMTs arrived, however, the Chichester ambulance was canceled. Command at the crash scene said they could handle the situation and requested a trauma alert for Concord Hospital — for a man, in his 50s, with lower extremity injuries, and a woman, in her 20s, with chest trauma.
"Both are conscious at this time," the commander said.
The drivers were removed from their vehicles and taken to the hospital around 5 p.m.
