Hooksett Woman ID'd as Crash Victim

Katerina Simons was killed last week in Manchester. She worked in area restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings. Investigation is ongoing.

A woman who was struck and killed while walking in Manchester last week has been identified.

Katerina Simons, 26, of Hooksett, passed away from her injuries on Friday, according to police. She was hit at the intersection of Elm and Auburn streets at around 9 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2016, by a Manchester man who was driving Volkswagen, according to police. He was not injured in the crash. Simons was rushed to Elliot Hospital with life threatening injuries. She succumbed to those injuries the next day.

Simons, according to her Facebook page, worked at Buffalo Wild Wings. The restaurant manager told the New Hampshire Union Leader that she was a hard worker, very friendly, and pretty good person, who was known around the region, since she had worked at a number of restaurants.

No charges have been filed against the Manchester man but the incident remains under investigation, according to police.

Services had not been announced a post time.
