It's National Library Week!!!

This week marks National Library Week, a reminder that your local library can be a great resource to be tapped into often. However, here in Concord, we have a Library that provides a year round wealth of information and opportunities for everyone in the community.

From the instant you walk through the doors you'll find posters and information related to every sort of activity occurring in the Greater Concord area. You can also pick-up a complimentary copy of The Insider or Hippo Press while you're at it.

Inside our stunning Art Deco library you'll find available for your use and enjoyment, hundreds of thousands of books including the latest best-sellers, periodicals and reference as well as computers to enable you to get just about any answer to whatever question you might have pondered.  In fact you don't even have to visit the library to be able to be a part of the library. The website at www.concordpubliclibrary.net can enable you to be fully a part of the "library experience".

The Concord Public Library is about a lot more than what you might expect. There are events going on constantly, tailored to the needs of children, teens, adults and families. A calendar is available for printing out and putting on the refrigerator door. There's everything from concerts to author events to poetry readings and that's just for starters.

The other day on my WKXL radio program, "Downtown Dialogues" I chatted about our great library with three staff members whose enthusiasm is impossible to resist.

Deb Baker, Adult Services Manager, Pam Stauffacher, Interim Co-Director, Children's Services & Branch Manager and Robbin Bailey, Reference Librarian, spent an entertaining and highly informative 40 minutes with me and I don't think you'll want to miss it. Here's a link to our great chat:

After you listen, make plans to visit the library. It's open seven days a week and a trip there is time very well spent.
