Learn How To Fly Fish for Free in New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's Let's Go Fishing Program is hosting its free "Fly-Fishing A-Z" workshop this month.

CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will be hosing a free "Fly-Fishing A-Z" workshop at two locations this spring.

According to the NH Fish and Game Dept., program will cover the basics of equipment, fly casting, stream ecology, knot tying, safety, and fish identification. The two-day programs, one in Concord on May 19 and the other in Stewartstown on June 2, are designed primarily for first-time fly anglers. T

Participants are required to attend both days of this no-cost program. All equipment is provided to the participants and no fishing license is required to participate.

The class is open to anyone age 13 or older. Participants age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The class space is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

NHFG Headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH, Saturday, May 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
