Local Banker Recognized With Lifetime Achievement Award
Longtime banker at the Merrimack, Ed Caron recently won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Capital Regional Development Council (CRDC).

CONCORD, NH - Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack) and its Executive Vice President Ed Caron were recently reconized at the Annual Banker Celebration held by the Capital Regional Development Council (CRDC).
In addition to the Merrimack winning Bank of the Year, Caron was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication and commitment. He previously announced his retirement, effective January 2018, after 21 years at the Merrimack.
According to a release from the CRDC, it is the first time a honored a banking professional with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Philip Emma, President of the Merrimack said Caron was picked for his exceptional advocacy and support of the organization throughout the lifetime of his career.
“Ed’s passion for our local business community coupled with his wealth of knowledge in banking has made him an instrumental member of our senior management team, and a successful leader of the Merrimack’s commercial lending business,” said Emma. “He is extremely deserving of this recognition, and we could not be prouder of all he’s achieved in the two-plus decades spent with us.”

When Caron joined the Bank as Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer, he brought with him more than 25 years of commercial banking experience. In 2002, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, and assumed responsibility for managing the Bank’s commercial lending strategy and departmental operations. Caron was promoted to his current role of Executive Vice President in 2011.
“I’ve always believed that the financial strength of our Bank depends on the financial health of the community,” said Caron. “I’m very humbled to receive this award and thank the CRDC for this special recognition. We’ve made it a point to support all businesses that are big, small and everything in-between. I’ve been very fortunate to share a wonderful partnership with the CRDC, who’ve been vital to our state economy.”
