Longtime Abbot-Downing Principal Steps Down from Concord School

Longtime educator and current Abbot-Downing School​ Principal Kathleen Riordan is stepping down this year.

CONCORD, N.H. - Longtime educator and current Abbot-Downing School Principal Kathleen Riordan is stepping down.

Riordon, who has been on the job since 2014 at the K-5 Elementary School in Concord, earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and taught at East Derry Memorial Elementary

She first started as Assistant Principal of Bagnall Elementary School in Pentucket, Mass. moving up to principal but returned to New Hampshire to accept the position of Principal of Abbot-Downing School in a few years later.

A search committee has already begun work to find a replacement for Riordan. The position, which has a start date of July 1, was posted with a salary range of $110,716 to $113,483.
