A Love Letter To Tom
Through ups and downs, this couple has grown stronger over their 12 years of marriage.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Betsianne Harrington’s love letter to her husband, Tom:
Tom,
It’s been 12 years of bumps in the road, but I have no regrets. We started late -- I was 35 and you even older. It was your humor that won me over. That night we met at the restaurant was full of laughs. I knew you were the one. You loved me even with my nephew at home as a foster child. You adopted him with me. We married and at our age, we didn’t wait to have more kids. You gave me two more beautiful boys that I thank my blessings for every day. We might be the oldest parents in the group but with our wisdom, they’ll be the smartest most confident boys ever. I am so proud of the life we have made. You still make me laugh. The miracles we have seen and made will be our legacy. Curing our son’s autism with the GAPS diet will be the accomplishment of our lifetimes.

Love truly conquers all. I don’t think I could have done that hard work for my own health, but for our son, anything. And Jack’s tumor when he was two years old. Our collective prayers brought us the miracle we prayed for and his tumor disappeared without explanation. How did we deserve all of these miracles, one for each of our sons? It’s because we are two good people and good things happen to good people. I am looking forward to living out the rest of our lives together with our sons and our ability to make miracles. I wonder what’s next? I give you my word that I will remain by your side for the rest of your life and in our collective consciousness for eternity.
