Some of us, myself included, are old enough to remember the hoopla and excitement that surrounded Concord's 200th anniversary in 1965.
It was a year filled with one memorable event after another as tens of thousands poured into Concord to partake in the celebration. It created memories that remain to this day.
As hard as it may be to believe, we are on the cusp of the 250th Anniversary and those who are working hard, already, to make this happen, want to hear from everyone about what they'd like to have happen. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to speak your mind and have any and all options considered.
There's a Community Forum scheduled for Wednesday evening, January 22nd at 6 PM in City Hall and everyone is welcome to attend and have a say.
The other day two of the hardest working people in Concord dropped by WKXL to chat with me on "Downtown Dialogues" about not only this Community Forum but about the importance of making the 250th Milestone a true, all-encompassing, Concord experience.
Jessica Fogg and Jennifer Kretovic, names very familiar to "Concordians", brought their humor, experience, knowledge and love for Concord to the show and it makes for great listening. Check out the link below:

After listening, make plans to escape the biting cold by joining in with the diverse and rich mix that is Concord, at stopping in at City Hall Wednesday evening and becoming a voice or just listening to what others who love Concord have to say. It's a great opportunity to further understand why we are a very special place to live, work and play.
