Manchester Man Arrested For Illegal Drug Prescription Possession

Hooksett Police arrested a Manchester man for possession of prescription drugs that weren't his.

CONCORD, NH - A Manchester man was arrested for prescription drug possession on Apr. 7 after a traffic stop.

According to Hooksett Police, Joseph Stavely, 37, of Manchester, NH was arrested after an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop for a defective equipment violation on Hooksett Road near Automania. Police reported that the officer observed indicators of drug use and after speaking with the operator and Stavely, a consent search of Stavely’s backpack and person was conducted.

Police found prescription pills were found within Stavely’s backpack that did not belong to him and Stavely did not have a prescription for.

Stavely was charged with Possession of Prescription Drugs Without a Prescription and transported to Merrimack County House of Corrections to await arraignment at the Merrimack County Superior Court.
