Mass Woman Sentenced to 10 Years for Heroin Trafficking
A Massachusetts woman is facing 10 years in prison for her role in a heroin trafficking conspiracy.

CONCORD, N.H. - A Massachusetts woman is facing 10 years in prison for her role in a heroin trafficking conspiracy.
According to a release from United States Attorney Scott W. Murray, Michell DeJesus, 38, of Lowell, participated in a drug trafficking organization between April 2016 and September 2016.
Court documents show DeJesus took orders for heroin from customers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and directed runners for the organization to make deliveries to those customers. She previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute, and possess with intent to distribute, heroin.

“Opioid abuse is at epidemic levels in the Granite State,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle. “Those responsible for distributing lethal drugs like heroin to the citizens of New Hampshire need to be held accountable for their actions. DEA is committed to aggressively pursuing Drug Trafficking Organizations or individuals who are coming from out of state to distribute this poison in order to profit and destroy people’s lives. This investigation demonstrates the strength and continued commitment of our local, state and federal law enforcement partners.”
