Memorial Day Closures and Reminders in Concord
Here are a few reminders and closure notes about this year's Memorial Day on Monday, May 28.
CONCORD, N.H. - Here are a few reminders and closure notes about this year's Memorial Day on Monday, May 28.
- Parade will depart from Capital Shopping Center on Storrs Street and will proceed up Pleasant Street Extension, turning right onto Main Street, traveling to Bouton Street, to Keane Square (near Binnie Media), turning left onto North State Street to the Old North Cemetery where it will halt for a brief ceremony at the Cemetery entrance. After the ceremony, the parade will continue south on North State Street, turning left onto Capital Street, then right onto Main Street. Closing ceremonies will take place on the City Plaza. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the State House Hall of Flags.
- City of Concord offices are closed on Monday, May 28 in observance of Memorial Day.
- Memorial Day is a trash holiday. Trash and recycling collection for Monday will be postponed until Tuesday. Collection for the rest of the week will be delayed by one day through Saturday.
- Spring Leaf Collection will also be delayed one day in coordination with trash collection. This is the last week for Spring Leaf Collection, so be sure to get your leaves out there! Residents may also bring leaves to Gelinas Excavation & Earth Recycling Center.
- Gelinas Excavation & Earth Recycling Center will not have Saturday hours this weekend due to the Memorial Day holiday and June 2nd will be the last day for Saturday drop offs from 8 a.m. to noon.
