Merrimack Valley School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Merrimack Valley is August 29. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Merrimack Valley School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22 -11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year’s Day)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

February

• 2/26 - 3/2: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/1 - 3/2: No School (Winter Recess)
• 3/16: No School for Students (Teacher Workshop)

April

• 4/23 - 4/27: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/13: Last Day of School
• 6/14 - 6/19: Make Up Days if Needed
