Excitement is building for coffee lovers across the country for the upcoming National Coffee Day on Sunday, Sept. 29. It’s a day to enjoy the incredibly popular morning beverage and also cash in on the great deals going on in New Hampshire.
Whether it’s a deal on a small cup of black coffee or buying one caramel frappuccino with soy milk and getting another one free, there’s something for every type of coffee aficionado on the official java holiday.

Dunkin’: Buy one hot coffee at participating restaurants nationwide on National Coffee Day and you’ll get a second one for free.
Krispy Kreme: On National Coffee Day, grab one free glazed doughnut and one free brewed coffee with no purchase of any item necessary.

Cumberland Farms: Text “FREECOFFEE” to 64827 on National Coffee Day and pick up a free hot or iced coffee at any location. All added flavors, creams, and sweeteners are also available at no cost.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Guests can grab a free 16-ounce brewed coffee, hot or iced, with the purchase of any food or bakery item. The offer is available all day, but is limited to one free coffee per guest.
7-Eleven: 7-Rewards members can get any sized coffee for only $1 on Sunday, September 29.
Godiva: The famed chocolate company is offering a free 12-ounce hot or iced coffee at all locations with any purchase from Sept. 27-29. Godiva boutiques are also offering 50 percent off bags on Sept. 29.
Bruegger's Bagels: Get a free medium coffee with any purchase through Sunday, but you need to be part of the Bruegger's Inner Circle Rewards club.
Circle K: The convenience-store chain is offering a free medium Simply Great Coffee with a free Belvita Breakfast Biscuit on Sept. 29.
Barnes & Noble: The famed bookseller is getting into the fun on National Coffee Day by offering a free hot or iced tall coffee with the purchase of any bake-case item from a Barnes & Noble Cafe on Sept. 29.
Whole Foods Market: Get a coupon from highbrewcoffee.com and get a free can of High Brew Coffee.
Baskin Robbins: A small Cappuccino Blast is on sale for $2.99.
McDonald's: Any size McCafe premium roast coffee when you place a mobile order on the "My McD's" app on Sunday.
It’s a mystery exactly how or when coffee was discovered, however the most popular legend traces its origin back to a goat farmer in Ethiopia. Coffee then eventually made its way to the Arabian Peninsula in the 15th century, before travelers brought it to Europe two hundred years later, according to the National Coffee Association.
A young naval officer named Gabriel de Clieu was the first to bring it to the Americas in the middle part of the 17th century, and it eventually made it to the United States in the decades following, according to the NCA.
