New Hampshire State Prison Announces Employee Awards
The New Hampshire State Prison recently celebrated National Corrections Employee Appreciation Week with an awards ceremony.

CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire State Prison recently celebrated National Corrections Employee Appreciation Week with an awards ceremony.
Commissioner Helen E. Hanks joined Warden Michelle Edmark in announcing the facility’s recipients for 2018 Employees of the Year.
The following employees were recognized with special plaques.

• First Shift Officer of the Year-Corrections Officer Geoffrey Boffitto
• Second Shift Officer of the Year-Corrections Corporal John Batakis

• Third Shift Officer of the Year-Corrections Officer Jason Caruso
• Team of the Year- the Officers and staff who work in the Reception and Diagnostic Unit
• Civilian of the Year-Kitchen Supervisor Randy Reda
Commissioner Hanks took the opportunity to thank all of the employees at facility for their dedication to duty and public service.
“We are recognizing specific employees today but everyone who works at the men’s prison plays an important role in the success of the Department’s mission. These employees include officers, nurses, teachers, counselors, administrators, maintenance, and many more. You are elite professionals with a passion for your work," she said in a release. "It is an honor to work with you all every day to improve the lives of those under our care, custody and/or supervision. Your impact on the lives of families in NH is significant. Our positive impacts on men and women have resounding effects to our communities.”
