New Hampshire Transitional Unit Resident Placed On Escape Status

CONCORD, NH — State officials are asking for the public's help finding a transitional housing unit resident placed on escape status on Thursday but last seen on Friday.

Joseph O'Rourke, 41, is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs around 190 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes although he keeps his head shaved. Both of his arms are covered in tattoos, according to officials. The words "IRISH bod" are tattooed on his belly and a "distinguishable clover" is on his right hand, officials said.

O'Rourke was placed on "escape" status at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday when he walked away from Calumet House in Manchester. He was last seen around noon on Friday at the Dunkin' Donuts on Beech Street in Manchester. O'Rourke was wearing a New England Patriots hat, a white polo shirt with black stripes, and blue jeans at the time. He was seen getting into an olive or beige Jeep Renegade.

O'Rourke has a lengthy criminal history. His most recent case was a guilty plea to robbery, burglary, first-degree, and second-degree assault charges in February 2016, after an incident in Manchester. His earliest parole date was December 2020, with a maximum release date of December 2025.
