NH Food Bank Hosts Mobile Food Pantry In Concord Friday

Tens of thousands of New Hampshire residents are facing food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Help is available Friday in Concord.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Food Bank has been hosting mobile food pantries across the state to help those in need and this week, the org will be in Concord.

Food is available for anyone in need between noon and 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, at NHTI in Concord at 31 College Drive.

The org is in the midst of hosting three mobile food banks per week during the next five weeks. The org, which is a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, has hosted 28 mobile food pantries since March, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The org estimates that one in seven families are experiencing food insecurity during the pandemic.

More than 14.2 million lbs. of food was circulated to pantries, nonprofit agencies, and others in 2019.
