Police: Concord Man Killed in Off-Ramp Car Crash

A Concord man was killed in a off-ramp crash off Interstate 80 in Bow on Monday.

CONCORD, NH - A Concord man was killed in a off-ramp crash off Interstate 80 in Bow on Monday. According to the Union Leader, the collision happened around 9:21 p.m. on Logging Hill Road near the Exit 1 off-ramp.

Police said a 2017 Nissan Altima driven by Joseph Leonard Jr., 35, of Derry, failed to stop at the end of the ramp and crashed into a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Tyler Shaw, 20, of Concord.

The Silverado rolled onto the driver's side after the crash, and Shaw was partially ejected from the vehicle, according to police, adding that both vehicles came to rest off the road.

Police said Shaw was dead at the scene. Leonard was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Bow police asked for help from the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit due to the crash's severity.

"At this time all aspects of the collision are still under investigation, including speed, distraction, and/or impairment," state police said in a release.
