RI Man Arrested In NH In Connection With VT Officer-Involved Shooting
Brenden Sackal, 30, of Rhode Island was taken into custody in New Hampshire in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Vermont.

LEBANON, NH ? A 30-year-old man was taken into custody in New Hampshire Monday in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Vermont and firearms charges in Rhode Island.
The man ? Brenden Sackal, 30, of Rockville, Rhode Island ? had been receiving medical care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon following a shooting involving members of the Vermont State Police on July 14 in Burke, Vermont, according to police.
He was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant and was transported to the Grafton County Jail after receiving medical clearance on Tuesday.

The warrant was based on various charges in Vermont stemming from the July 14 incident, including multiple counts of attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment, possession of large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, gross negligent operation, and attempting to elude law enforcement, police said.
Sackal was scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Haverhill District Court.
