Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For NH; Tornadoes Possible
National Weather Service, NH emergency officials: Downpours are expected on Monday — with wind gusts up to 70 mph and hail possible.
GRAY, ME — A severe thunderstorm alert, with possible torrential downpours and maybe even a tornado, has been issued by forecasters for northern New Hampshire.
Around 1 p.m., the National Weather Service both severe and hazardous weather outlooks for Coos and Grafton counties as well as hazardous weather outlooks for Merrimack, Hillsborough, and interior Rockingham County.
"Thunderstorms may move in from the west this evening and possibly produce torrential downpours and gusty to locally damaging winds," the alert stated.

The alert is active through 9 p.m.
New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management posted a graphic stating that "a couple of tornadoes" were possible as well as hail and wind gusts of up to 70 mph.
