The Concord community has always been filled with the sounds of music for as far back as I can remember.
Whatever your taste in music might be, there were numerous outlets, locally, that allowed you the opportunity to experience that which you enjoyed.
If anything, it has only gotten better with the opening of the Capitol Center for the Arts and the arrival of the Community Music School.
Since 1982, the Suncook Valley Chorale has been bringing a level of musical excellance to our area that has delighted, entertained and moved tens of thousands of audience members. You leave one of their concerts profoundly changed as a result of the always interesting choices they make in music when putting together a concert. Their next concert may be one of their most memorable choices.
On January 17 and 18, the Chorale pays a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. with their winter concert entitled, "Singing the Dream".
The concert will be held at the First Congregational Church of Pembroke with performances on Friday the 17th at 7 PM and on Saturday the 18th at 3 PM.

Scott Lounsbury, the Music Director for the Chorale, dropped by "Downtown Dialogues", my WKXL radio show, last week. WE talked about the Chorale's rich history as well as the upcoming program.I would wager that after listening to us chat, you'll be one of the many happy audience members who will find out on the 17t and 18th why the Suncook Valley Chorale is one of our community treasures.
