CONCORD, NH - The Statehouse's golden dome is set to go dark this coming week as workers prepare for a new lighting system. According to WCAX, New Hampshire Statehouse's iconic golden dome will go completely dark except for a single lantern for a week to prepare for the culmination of the Capitol's bicentennial festivities.
The dome was most recently renovated in 2016 after nearly two decades.
House Chief of Staff Terry Pfaff says the lighting project will add the finishing touches to the $2.4 million dome restoration project.
