Tilton Man Accused Of Wrong-Way Drunken Driving In Concord, Canterbury
Randolph Griffin Jr. was arrested on Interstate 93 on several charges after being accused of driving south in the northbound lanes Sunday.

CONCORD, NH ? A man from Tilton was arrested Sunday on charges including felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon after being accused of wrong-way drunken driving on Interstate 93.
Around 3 a.m., New Hampshire State Police dispatch began receiving ?multiple reports? about a driver traveling south in the highway?s northbound lanes. The vehicle was spotted in the area of Mile Marker 48 in Canterbury, Amber Lagace, the public information officer for state police, said.
?A short time later,? she said, a state trooper found the vehicle near Mile Marker 42, between Exit 16 and Exit 17, and confirmed the driver was traveling the wrong way.

?(The trooper) was able to successfully stop the motor vehicle in the left lane and made contact with the lone operator,? Lagace said.
After a roadside investigation, the driver, Randolph P. Griffin Jr., 25, of Tilton, was arrested on felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, driving while intoxicated, operating without a valid license, and breach of bail charges. He was held in the Merrimack County Jail and is due to be arraigned in superior court on Monday.
