Volunteer NH, NHBSR Host Business Makes a Difference! Volunteer Fair

Volunteer NH and New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility will host the first Business Makes a Difference! Volunteer Fair at the Timberland Company World Headquarters on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 2 to 5 p.m.

The event, a partnership of Volunteer NH and NHBSR, is designed to increase collaboration among New Hampshire’s nonprofit and business community. This event is inspired by best practices on employee volunteerism learned from a discussion series with business leaders around the State.

“Partnering on this volunteer fair allows the business and nonprofit communities to converge on the shared vison of a stronger, more connected New Hampshire,” said Gretchen Berger-Wabuti, Executive Director of Volunteer NH. “By opening their doors and presenting at this event, Timberland is displaying their commitment to NH communities and inspiring visiting businesses to engage.”

20 area nonprofits will participate at this event to share their volunteer needs. Volunteer NH will demonstrate how to access over 550 volunteer opportunities and connect with nearly 500 nonprofits online. At 3pm Timberland’s Senior Manager of Community Engagement will host a conversation about key learnings and the benefits the company has realized through its award-winning employee volunteerism program.
