WEATHER UPDATE: Showers, Thunderstorms Possible in Concord

Residents can expect a lot of rain throughout the day Tuesday and into Wednesday.

Don’t forget to pack an umbrella if you plan on venturing outside today. Weather forecasters are expecting showers and thunderstorms throughout most of the day.

Showers are likely, then possibly a thunderstorm after noon, some of which could produce heavy rain, according to the National Weather Service. Weather forecasters are calling for an 90 percent chance of rain. The high temperature is expected to be near 70 degrees.

The chance of showers will continue into Tuesday night, mainly before 10 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. There is an 70 percent chance of precipitation, according to the NWS.
