We Asked: What Business Do You Wish Existed in Concord?

What’s one business that doesn’t exist in Concord that you wish did?

We put the question to Concord Patch Facebook fans, filled with impassioned health food lovers—and restaurant chain supporters—to weigh in on the fantasy.

Although a seemingly simple question, Concord residents had a lengthy wish list of stores and shops they’d like to see come to town.

What was the consensus? Simply put, ”anything but another pharmacy or dollar store,” as reader Stephanie Clark put it.

Between roller rinks and restaurant chains, the majority of Patch readers seemed to agree on one business that desperately needs to make its way to town: Trader Joe’s.

What made the list? Concord residents were passionate about:

• Trader Joe’s
• 24-hour diner
• Roller rink (More specifically, kicking out Planet Fitness and bringing back Funspot!)
• Sonic
• Christmas Tree Shops
• Home Goods
• Chipotle
• Whole Foods
• Golden Corral
• And of course, more local family-owned businesses

For now, we can only continue to daydream.
